Track Review: Nielsen Reaveley – Milk Train

unnamedNielsen Reaveley is a singer songwriter born in Brighton and living in London. This Pop up and comer has already played stages such as Latitude Festival and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and recieved airplay from BBC Radio 6.

His latest release “Milk Train” graced our airwaves on 14th June and since then I have been infatuated with this soon to be anthem. The main vocal is subtle yet passionate and is set on telling the story of the song, a story that many people of the younger generations will be able to relate to:  “a certain type of night out – the kind that, inevitably, ends on the 4am train home as a hangover begins to kick in.”

This latest work was in collaboration with award-nominated producer Matthew Parisi, who was songwriter Mike Stock’s principle sound engineer for over four years. Parisi has previously worked with artists such as Chris Martin and Kylie Minogue. Parisi discovered Nielsen through one of his videos on Youtube and the magic happened from there.

I can predict that this track will be the perfect start to anybodys night out or party for years to come, I’m certainly going to add it to my party playlist and already find myself listening to it over and over again. I’d like to round this off by saying how refreshing it is to hear great songwriting still coming to the forefront of todays music industry.
